Support request email links return page not found
I put in a Support request a couple of days ago, I got an email back it contained this link:
Your request (#252748) has been updated. Reply to this email or click the link below:
https://support.opencart.com/hc/requests/252748
Clicking the link returns:
oops
The page you were looking for doesn't exist
You may have mistyped the address or the page may have moved
URL for that was https://support.opencart.com/hc/en-us/requests/252955
So, now I'm in limbo and left to believe support for paid 3rd party is absolute BS. Maybe I could create an extension that doesn't do what it claims and make some money with the full support of Opencart, No I just couldn't do that. Be Warned, if you are tempted to put in a Paypal dispute you'll get the following message:
Message from OpenCart Ltd
[OpenCart] PayPal Dispute = Instant Ban!
Hello, PayPal Dispute = Instant Ban! Your OpenCart account has been suspended. You will no longer have access to your downloads, updates or free support until you drop the PayPal Dispute. This is what you should have done: 1. Go to http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=support/contact. 2. Select support or refund. 3. In the enquiry field enter your order ID, username, any error messages and the reason for the refund. PayPal's dispute system is very slow and only a limited number of OpenCart staff have access to it. Best Regards, OpenCart Team.
Note: That I have done steps 1 to 3 above to no avail.
So, in order to be able to access support for Opencart and the other Extensions I have that do work, I have NOT put in a PayPal Dispute.
So the moral of this story is, Don't put in a PayPal Dispute, be happy with the extension that you bought in good faith even though you wasted money on it. Then, buy more extensions till you find one that does work and.....
FORGET ABOUT EVER GETTING ANY MONEY BACK FOR THE DUD EXTENSIONS.
I'll probably get bared for making others aware of this scam, but I needed to vent.
