Installation problems

I am having alot of trouble with my install. I have changed the config name in both files as advised in the install guide but i still get one saying unwritable and the following error message. I have spent hours on this now please hep Warning: admin/config.php does not exist. You need to rename admin/config-dist.php to admin/config.php

  Hello, Lee,

  Probably there are issues with file permissions on your server. Try to give 644 or 666 permissions to config files and see if it works. The admin directory has to have 755 permissions as well.

  I really wouldn't know where to start with all that. I am on a wing and a prayer as it is haha
